Embracing the Art of Ho’oponopono: Can Anything Be Your Cleaning Tool?

Have you ever heard of Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len? He’s famous for healing a group of very sick people in a hospital in Hawaii during the 1980s. He learned about ho’oponopono from his teacher, Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona.

Dr. Len once shared a story about how Morrnah suggested people should imagine dropping fizzing tablets into a swimming pool before jumping in. This is an example of a cleaning tool in ho’oponopono.

But what’s a cleaning tool, you ask? Well, in ho’oponopono, cleaning tools are things or ideas we use to clear away bad feelings or problems.

Now, you might be wondering what kind of things can be used as cleaning tools. The truth is, almost anything can be a cleaning tool! Some things, like Blue Solar Water, get their power from nature. This water has been soaked in sunlight and made in a special way. Even famous people like the model Gisele Bundchen use it!

Some other things that can be natural cleaning tools include blue bells, blue ice, blueberries, yellow butterflies, strawberries, certain trees, landscapes, and caves.

Then, there are cleaning tools made by people. These include things like homeopathic remedies and Bach flower essences.

Dr. Len suggested even more everyday items could be used as cleaning tools. These include chocolate, M&Ms, some business cards, stickers, and even words like “Hawaii”, “Aloha”, and “Ho’oponopono”.

For example, an eraser, or “rubber” as it’s called in the U.K., both erases and when used as a pointer in ho’oponopono, it also cleans away bad feelings.

The main goal of cleaning in ho’oponopono isn’t to cure a sickness or fix a problem, but to bring you back to a state of zero. In ho’oponopono, zero is a state of pure peace and love.

In a world where everything you see might be an illusion, getting to zero is the real goal. Wealth, relationships, respect, and comfort are just tricks your mind plays on you based on what’s stored in your subconscious.

The exciting news is, you can use almost anything as a cleaning tool. But remember, the best cleaning tool is you. When you use ho’oponopono to clean away bad feelings, you allow the pure light of love and peace to shine through.
