Harnessing the Power of Ho’oponopono for Health: A Beginner’s Guide
Everything that happens in your life is guided by the information stored inside you. This includes when you feel sick. You might catch a cold from someone else, but the real cause of the sickness is inside you. It’s like a message from your past or even from your ancestors. Some people call this Karma.
When you’re ill, it’s very important to take good care of yourself. Sometimes, you might have dreams or thoughts that feel like they come from another world. These can be messages that help you understand what’s happening inside you. They can also be like a sneak peek into your subconscious mind, which is the part of your mind that works behind the scenes.
To make the best use of these messages, keep a pen and paper nearby to write down what you learn during these moments. But remember, these experiences are like illusions. They may not be completely true. By using ho’oponopono, you can understand them better.
You are not just your experiences, feelings, health, or happiness. You are the one who sees and does things. Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, who taught us modern ho’oponopono, said, ‘I am the I, never the I am’. This means you are the one who experiences, not the experiences themselves.
What if you’re taking care of someone who’s sick? Again, it’s all about you. You need to focus on your feelings that come from the other person’s illness. Let’s say your husband or wife gets hurt in a car accident. Your job is to focus on your feelings about them, even feelings of care and worry.
Ho’oponopono isn’t about being uncaring or ignoring other people’s pain. But it’s not about rescuing or healing others either. It’s about understanding your own feelings and reactions.
Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, who learned ho’oponopono from Morrnah, said, ‘Healers create lots of trouble.’ This means that trying to heal others can sometimes cause problems.
A man named Mathew Dixon wrote a book about helping others feel happy. He uses ho’oponopono and another idea called ‘The Law of Attraction’. But his method works because he wants everyone to be as happy as he is. So, he’s still focusing on his own feelings and reactions.
Instead of trying to heal others, you can use ho’oponopono by saying:
‘Thank you for the chance to clean up the bad stuff that’s causing this pain.
‘Please forgive me for causing so much hurt.
‘I’m very sorry that you’re feeling the effects of this illness with me.
‘I love you.’ 💖
When you use ho’oponopono, you become pure love. And when someone who’s sick is with you, they can feel your love. It helps them get better. The real question is, how clean are you?
A wise man once said, ‘if you have faith and do not doubt, you can do amazing things’. This means if you believe in yourself and don’t doubt, you can do anything, even move mountains!
